Raynor Winn
Raynor Winn is the well-known author of books about nature, landscape, people and place. Her memoirs The Salt Path, Wild Silence and Landlines have become international bestsellers, translated into 26 languages and winning awards around the world. The Salt Path spent two years in the bestseller charts and has been adapted for film, releasing in the UK on 30th May 2025.
She’s walked thousands of miles along many of Britain’s National Trails, detailing her experiences in her books. After walking the 630 miles of the South West Coast Path, she became an ambassador for the Path, supporting their work to allow access for everyone.
Raynor has written for print and digital publications; highlighting the plight of homelessness, the work of the Charity PSPA, the climate and our connection to nature. As well as appearing on tv, radio and theatre.
Raynor has also collaborated closely with the renowned musicians, Gigspanner Big Band, creating the critically acclaimed prose and music album Saltlines, which has toured to sold-out theatres across England. Excitement is already building around their new project, appearing in theatres in April 2026.
Despite that, if you were to ask Ray what she does, she would probably say she walks a bit, writes a bit and drinks a lot of tea, and can probably be found on a windswept path with her husband Moth and dog Monty.
